We believe that education is a force that changes people, and people change the world. In a time of dynamic social, technological, and civic transformations, we aim to create a space where learning, cooperation, and engagement translate into meaningful action and lasting change in local communities.
Our goal is to create initiatives that respond to the real needs of people. We combine education with practice, support the development of competences, promote civic engagement, and foster cross-sector cooperation. We believe that the best solutions emerge when organisations, institutions, experts, and local communities work together.
We pay particular attention to rural communities and residents of small towns, where access to high-quality education, development opportunities, and international cooperation is often limited. We address our activities to young people and adults, creating opportunities for lifelong learning, competence development, and active participation in social life.
In our non-formal education activities, we use methods of Grundtvigian pedagogy, inspired by the ideas of N.F.S. Grundtvig and the Danish Folk High School tradition. These methods are based on dialogue, experiential learning, sharing knowledge with others, reflection, and active participation. We place people, their potential, experience, and personal development at the centre of the educational process, believing that lifelong learning is the foundation of a conscious and responsible society.
The Amicus Foundation for Education and Development cooperates with a broad network of partners, including civil society organisations, local authorities, schools, universities, businesses, and experts from Poland and other European countries. Thanks to this cooperation, we implement projects based on knowledge, experience, and local engagement.
We support human rights, shared values, equality, democracy, and the development of civil society. We create projects that empower people and communities, promote dialogue, solidarity, and active participation in social life.
We believe that lasting change begins with cooperation. Therefore, we invite everyone who shares our values and wishes to build more open, active, and inclusive communities together to join us in creating meaningful projects.
